New RDC Project!

Geographic and Occupation Distribution of Hepatitis E Virus in the United States
Investigator: Christopher Campbell
This study has two primary aims. First is to characterize Hepatitis E Virus seroprevalence across the different census regions in the US. The second is to determine if different occupational groups – namely those with animal exposures – are at a greater risk of becoming infected with Hepatitis E Virus. The investigator is using data from the restricted version of NHANES 2009-2016 to access geographic and occupational data; most of which are withheld from the public data set. Additional analyses into demographic patterns, where possible, will further the goal of understanding the distribution of Hepatitis E Virus in the United States.
